Delta Air Lines is looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Operations Analysis and Performance (OAP) team. This role supports Delta’s mission of delivering world-class operational performance by leveraging data analytics and strategic problem-solving to address customer needs and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
As part of the Airport Customer Service (ACS) Resource Planning team, you will:
- Develop predictive models and forecasts to proactively identify resource needs, collaborating with cross-functional ACS departments.
- Analyze resource utilization and identify opportunities for more efficient solutions.
- Report on the execution and performance of resource planning initiatives.
- Conduct trend analysis in ACS resource planning to drive decision-making.
- Gather and extract data from multiple sources to support analytical models and project development.
- Create new data sources and enhance existing analytical models.
- Use descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics to address business challenges and highlight tradeoffs.
- Translate data into actionable insights using data visualization and storytelling techniques.
- Develop reports and analyses under leadership direction to support strategic goals.
- Facilitate process improvements and manage projects across business units and divisions.
- Present findings to OAP leaders and business unit executives, including senior leadership.
- Act as an internal consultant to provide insights that drive results.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Experience with analytical tools such as SQL, Python, and Tableau.
- Strong business acumen, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), with the ability to craft concise, strategic materials for senior leaders.
- A team-oriented mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to perform well under pressure.
- Influence and collaboration skills to operate effectively in a matrixed environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Commitment to safety and security for yourself and others, while maintaining data integrity.

- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in operations, resource planning, or similar fields.
- Familiarity with advanced analytical techniques or statistical modeling.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as data science, operations research, or business analytics.
