This team plays a vital role in managing high-impact initiatives and driving transformation across the RES division.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager in the PMO team, you will:

  • Lead high-value initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and maintain essential project artifacts such as charters, plans, risk logs, and issue trackers.
  • Oversee multiple simultaneous projects of varying complexity across cross-functional teams.
  • Foster a strong culture of collaboration and accountability, partnering effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Create and implement communication strategies to keep all parties informed of project progress and impact.
  • Support the development of business cases, prioritize initiatives, and contribute to the overall divisional portfolio management.
  • Strengthen relationships and feedback loops with leaders, functional teams, and Delta's broader organizational divisions.
  • Contribute to building a Center of Excellence (CoE) for strategic portfolio management.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience managing and delivering multiple projects of varying sizes and complexities.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage across all levels of the organization.
  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old with legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Compliance with Delta Airlines' COVID-19 vaccination policy as required by applicable law.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commitment to Delta's core values, safety standards, and inclusive culture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or experience following PMI standards.
  • Familiarity with PowerApps, SharePoint, and other project management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and work within tight deadlines.
  • Experience in building frameworks, tools, and best practices for portfolio and project management.
