Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our team in building a cloud data warehouse that delivers real-time data to data scientists for predictive analytics.

As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing actionable insights that help improve operations, troubleshoot issues, and optimize processes. You will work closely with various departments, including data scientists, product teams, and operations, to ensure that data is accurate and accessible to meet the company's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and optimize large-scale data pipelines and data warehouse architectures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that support business objectives.
  • Create and optimize SQL queries, transforming and converting data across various formats (e.g., XML, JSON, Parquet).
  • Maintain high data quality and integrity through thorough testing, debugging, and process improvements.
  • Build and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into a unified data warehouse.
  • Ensure data is securely handled, adhering to company and industry security standards.
  • Contribute to the development of cloud-based solutions for data storage and processing.
  • Work with agile methodologies to deliver high-quality and efficient solutions in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering, cloud computing, and data warehouse technologies.
  • Proficient in SQL and working with relational and non-relational databases.
  • Experience with ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex data issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and version control systems.
