Technology Supply Chain Management (SCM) Category Manager – Southwest Airlines
Location: Regional (Work location is determined by the region supported. Hybrid schedule of on-site and remote work may apply.)

We are looking for a Technology Supply Chain Management (SCM) Category Manager to join our team and support Southwest’s Technology Infrastructure & Services group, including Network and Infrastructure Engineering, Field Services, and Quality Management Office (QMO).
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier & Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of technology suppliers within designated categories. Support high-value contracts, including strategic sourcing, negotiations, and contract drafting to meet business needs and mitigate risk.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure suppliers align with business objectives, and optimize value while managing associated risks.
- Negotiations & Strategy Development: Lead negotiation strategies, facilitate the RFP process, and create competitive evaluations for new suppliers.
- Stakeholder Education & Communication: Educate and align stakeholders on procurement processes, risk management, and strategic objectives related to supplier agreements, intellectual property (IP), data security, SLAs, and other key areas.
- Demand Planning & Renewals: Oversee ongoing demand planning, manage contract renewals, and ensure continuous alignment with business requirements.
- Performance Management: Identify opportunities for procurement improvements through data analysis, industry knowledge, and discussions with stakeholders. Address supplier performance issues and manage relationships accordingly.
- Continuous Improvement: Advocate for improvements in business outcomes, stakeholder alignment, and risk management.
Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. is required. (No current or future work authorization sponsorship available.)
- Experience in managing complex contracts, supplier negotiations, and strategic sourcing.
- Ability to work across multiple technical categories and support various programs across the business.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on identifying procurement opportunities and driving process improvements.

- This is a regional workplace position. Employees must work in the region they support. This could involve a mix of on-site company facilities and remote-based offices, depending on business needs.
- Ineligible locations for remote work: Alaska, Delaware, New Jersey, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
